Part Two: A Guide to Colonic Irrigation

Colonics in a Nutshell
Colonics in a nutshell

In a nutshell, colonics is about letting go.

Few other treatments enable you to let go to such a great extent. Here you are, lying on the couch, water going in and out of your body, as you are watching your eliminations float past in the view tube, carried away by water, like a river after a flood.

Getting rid of the waste is a cathartic, purifying feeling, a kind of a cleansing ritual, which helps bring together the body and the spirit in a desire for better health.

Sometimes you may feel mild discomfort or a cramp, as the bowel struggles to get vintage wastes out. Often you feel a great, overpowering urge to evacuate, and it is during these evacuations that you resolve to make positive changes in the way you treat yourself.

Sometimes you come to the colonics feeling numb and tired. As the process starts, you are suddenly overwhelmed by emotions, as your feelings, composted between layers of wastes, come out and demand acknowledgement. Some of my clients have a good cry, because it is a shame to let these emotions out through the back door – they need to be recognized for what they are and felt in every cell of the awakened body.

Going for a colonic involves a certain degree of honesty and recognition that you need to change: at the end of the day, colonics is not a facial. It is a great first step on the road of self-improvement through action and knowledge, of self-discovery through purification, and of physical cleansing through waste management.
